Jessie J (born Jessica Ellen Cornish, in Chadwell Heath, London, on March 27, 1988) is an English singer and songwriter. At 17 she joined a girl group named Soul Deep, but later left the group and began recording her debut studio album in 2005 and in late 2010 released her first single, “Do It Like a Dude.” Her follow-up single “Price Tag” was released a few months later and peaked at 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. She was ranked #55 in the 2011 FHM list of “100 Sexiest Women in the World”. Her third studio album Sweet Talker was released in October 2014 in the UK and the single “Bang Bang” which she recorded with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, debuted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 6.

Jessie suffered a stroke at 18 as a result of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, a condition that she has had since she was 11. In March 2013, Jessie shaved her head live during Red Nose Day 2013, helping to raise money for the Comic Relief charity. In November 2014 she confirmed that she was dating American singer Luke James.
