Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Martell Holt was arrested on Tuesday (Jan. 15) on third-degree domestic violence and harassing communications charges. With these being misdemeanor offenses, he was able to post bond. The 41-year-old was released around three hours later, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
No other details were released including who Holt was reportedly harassing.
The casanova has appeared in all six seasons of the hit OWN reality show, which centers around the lives of three high-powered Black couples who collectively help to revitalize their city of Huntsville, AL, with their joint real estate venture, The Comeback Group.
He and co-star Melody Holt divorced in 2020 after 14 years of marriage. She later appeared on Real Housewives Of Atlanta before he began dating series regular, Shereé Whitfield. They parted ways last summer.
Back in June, Holt was accused of child abuse for a second time. Melody even filed for a restraining order against the father of five—four of whom are also hers. According to Radar Online, “[Martell’s] discipline and punishment of the children is excessive and abusive.” The obtained court filing read, “The Defendant has used objects to hit his children hard enough to draw blood, he has spanked them excessively, and he has used slurs and other insults towards his children as discipline techniques.”
He fought back by filing for sole physical custody of their children, claiming that she “violated” clauses made in the custody agreement from March 2021.
Holt was first accused of child abuse in August 2022 as seen below.
